I really want to get a cruiser because all I honestly want to do with it is ride it, unlike my skinny brother who's going for a fixed gear bike to ride & do tricks with. I've been looking at bikes online & I've come across a ton. Like this bike from Republic Bike (the same company as the Urban Outfitters track bike). It's customizable & it's a Dutch bike, but sadly not as much as their fixed gears & track bikes.
I really love the frame, the colors & its over all look, but I don't like how I can't try it on for size. Just like buying a new dress or a new pair of shoes online & not knowing their exact fit. But at least I'm getting the exact look I want.
Luckily I do live near San Diego still & they have TONS of bike shops especially near the beaches so I might just go & take a look for myself.
They're actually a lot cheaper too. I'm honestly not too concerned about what brand, weight, make, etc. it is because I'm only planning to ride it for a few miles every other day-ish. Hmm, what should I do?
3 loves:
Those bikes are lovely! I love the first one most especially, that pretty teal!
I couldn't agree more about modern day models, I detest the overly starved sunken cheeks look.
oh my geesh, i´m afraid of riding a fixie... but, i have to admit, skinny boys on fixies are definitely cool guys! ;)
Haha! Yeah.. I admit I am afraid to ride a fixie also. I'm just afraid I'll roll down a hill so fast & not be able to stop in time!
