Friday Feature: Tattoo Artist Saira Hunjan.

Another Friday Feature & yet another tattoo artist I can only dream of being tattooed by. What is it about female British tattoo artists that allures me so much to their beautiful artwork?! Saira Hunjan's artwork is, simple, pretty & traditional. The colors she uses are also amazing! I discovered her in this little tattoo book I picked up at Barnes & Noble.









There's something that's different about the work of a female tattoo artist. I think it's how a lot of these ladies pay attention to pretty detail like in the clothing or scarves of the tattoo. Or maybe it's the whimsical subjects they choose to tattoo. Hmm.. I'm seriously thinking about saving my pennies for a tattoo when I'm in London next summer..

Friday Feature: Tattoo Artist Valerie Vargas.

As an artist I have come to appreciate all types of art. So that also includes tattoos! Well done, clean-lined, beautifully colored tattoos. With so many tattoo artists out there sometimes it's hard to find one that really puts out quality work. I came across Valerie Vargas' work on fuckyeahtattoos one day & I guess I got lucky because with all those entries being put in it's easy to miss the good stuff. I instantly fell in love with her work when I looked her up.









At first glance her tattoos look just like any other classic tattoos, but when you take a closer look at the detail you'll see why she's got a never ending waiting list. I love her clean lines & vibrant colors, it all just looks so smoothly done! My friends think I should get a tattoo done by her next year when we're in London, but It's definitely something I need to think about more.. but it would be lovely!

OMG, I want a new tattoo already!

Wow, second post in one night! I was just browsing through my blogroll & I came across Danielle Hampton's blog. She has an amazing weekly tattoo post featuring some awesome people & their beautiful tattoos. As I've mentioned before I'm DYING to get going on more tattoos to cover my thigh & the most recent lady featured on her blog has got some BEAUTIFUL tattoos.







I've been contemplating on what kind of tattoos I want & I definitely want traditional ones. I love the colors, the bold distinct lines & the classiness of them. I'm gonna have to wait to get them though since I'll be in the process of moving in a couple months & I'm not financially capable right now! /:

P.S. Congrats to Danielle for her first pregnancy! Yay! I know sooo many ladies who are pregnant right now it's kinda weird. Oh well, I'm still happy for them all!

Honeysuckles.

So Jen & I changed our minds! We want pretty tattoos with honeysuckles & a pretty little bow on them. When we were kids there were honeysuckles in my front yard & Jen & I used to take them & suck the honey out of them. Yummmmies!

Busy weekend coming up for me. Gonna help my friend make some pretty invitations!

Pretty Bows.

So my friend Jenelyn & I have been the best of friends for over a decade now. We've known each other since we were 9 & 10 & now we're turning 20 & 21! We have been through so much together, we grew up together & I even moved miles away, but we're still as close as can be. Anyways, we've decided that we're going to get matching friend tattoos. We've been thinking about a ton of different things for a couple months now & we just couldn't narrow down everything we both loved enough until yesterday we thought, why not pretty matching bows? That way we'll be tied together forever! Haha lame I know, but it means something to us & that's all that matters.

I'm so excited for this! I'll probably just add it on to my thigh tattoo since we're not going to put it on the same place anyways.

Tattooed Couples.

In honor of this coming Valentine's Day I thought I'd do a post on couples. Not just any kind of couples, tattooed couple because of my love for tattoos!

Change of Plans.

So my family & I didn't end up going to Long Beach or Huntington Beach. We ended up going to San Diego instead & went shopping. I really need to stop letting others plan my day... including my family. I have enough disappointments in my life, so I'd rather be the one taking charge of what's on my daily to-do list. Didn't end the say so great either. Every time I spend time with my parents I end up getting scrutinized.

Thinking about my next tattoo...
& just to let everyone know, I'm Filipino. Tattoos are pretty much completely looked down upon in my culture. My parents especially think this, but this is my choice. I've always loved tattoos. They fascinate me, I think they're absolutely beautiful.

That last one I put because it's the title of one of the albums I'm obsessing over right now by a band called Brand New. I love it.
I also love body modification. Can't wait until I get my plugs to 1/2", just two more sizes to go!
